The Ciudad Real Handball Foundation was constituted on 12 February 2007, recognised by Community of Castile-La Mancha Ministry of Social Welfare on 13 April 2007 and inscribed in the Register of Foundations o Castile-La Mancha with number CR-052. The Foundation?s main aim is to "co-operate in areas of general and social interest related to the promotion, management and development of sporting activities in general and Handball in particular". As such and once registered with the Ministry of Social Welfare, the Foundation is established as a legal entity with full capacity to develop its functions.
The aims of the Foundation, the management and government of the same, the modification of the Articles of Association, and the merger and extinction of the same are reflected in the five sections and fifty-five articles, and its objectives are summarised in Article 7, which states:
Art. 7. The main aim of the Foundation is to cooperate in areas of general and social interest related to the promotion, management and development of sporting activities in general and Handball in particular. Accordingly, it will develop educational and training programmes and competitions mainly in the base categories, paying particular attention to merits and the lack of means of possible beneficiaries.
Said article is based on the original express wishes of the Agrupación Deportiva Cultural Ciudad Real to constitute a Foundation defined as a non-profit organisation to act as the base and starting point for activities. The address of the Foundation and the headquarters of its Board, is in Ciudad Real, Pabellón Quijote Arena, Carretera de Puertollano, s/n.
The Foundation is governed by applicable legal provisions, the wishes of the founder, the content of its articles of association and the rules and regulations established by the Board in accordance with its responsibilities and operational regulations. It will develop its activities mainly within the territorial scope of Castile-La Mancha in a stable and permanent manner, without prejudice to the fact that, occasionally and in compliance with its aims, these activities may be extended to the rest of Spain and other countries.
